The 1st PDF edition of “LEARNING THE QURAN”, published by Tokyo Camii Publishing in 2022, is now available for download from the Tokyo Camii Institute website.
This book is a Japanese version of KUR’AN ÖĞRENİYORUM, a concise Tajwid (Quran reading method) textbook that has been translated into multiple languages, including English and French. It is used in many regions, initially published by the Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye (i.e., T.C. Cumhurbaşkanlığı Diyanet İşleri Başkanlığı).
As a general rule, it is designed for face-to-face lessons with instructors trained to learn and teach Tajwid professionally. For convenience, some terms and Arabic letters are transliterated to katakana, but please note that it is only supplemental, and it is essential to learn by listening to the actual pronunciation.
