【September’s Special Open Lecture “Muslims in Denmark: Insights from the Educational Field”】
In recent years, the relationship between civil society and Muslims in Nordic countries has been attracting increasing attention through the media. While the situation of Muslims in these countries often highlights tension and conflict, the younger generation is demonstrating the potential for a new form of coexistence, distinct from that of previous generations.
For the Special Open Lecture in September, we are pleased to welcome Associate Professor Akiko Harada from the Department of Nordic Studies at Tokai University’s School of Cultural and Social Studies. She has been conducting research on citizenship education, democratic education, and political education in Denmark. In her lecture, she will discuss the experiences of Muslims in Denmark’s educational settings, as well as the current state and future outlook of civil society.
